The Dillinger Escape Plan have parted company with drummer Chris Pennie.
"We don't really know what Chris is doing and it's not really our concern," vocalist Greg Puciato tells Kerrang!.
"He put us in a compromising situation and we had to push our recording back, without him involved. The outcome musically will be the same so it's not really a concern of mine if he's drumming or a garbage man. The drums on the new record are gonna be sicker than ever."
Gil Sharone of avant-garde metallers Stolen Babies has joined the band for the foreseeable future. The band are currently recording the follow-up to their 2004 album 'Miss Machine' with producer Steve Evetts (Every Time I Die). For a full studio report, see next week's Kerrang! magazine.
