Bullet pull out of Metallica show

Bullet for My Valentine have been forced to pull out of their upcoming support slot with Metallica at Wembley stadium on July 8 as well as their own 'secret' Jeff Killed John show on July 3.

According to an official statement, frontman Matt Tuck was due to have a tonsillectomy mid July but, due to unforeseen complications, the operation had to be brought forward at the advice of his doctor.

"Matt is recovering well but has been ordered not to sing for a minimum four week period, which means that the band have no choice but not to play the shows listed above," says the statement.

"If I'd known my tonsils were going to cause me to miss shows like these I'd have fucking ripped them out myself long ago," says Tuck. "I am totally gutted at not being able to play these shows and the only consolation the boys and I can take from it is that we are now fully focused on the album and we'll be back in the studio as soon as the doctors say I can sing again. I truly can't wait for you fuckers to hear it!"

Bullet's as yet untitled new album will be released through Sony BMG in September.

BFMV are the worst band I have ever heard. I cant believe Kerrang & other mags give these guys soo much credit. They are rubbish!! No matter how much mags push them. Its an embarressment that they should even be in the same venue as metallica! Grow up everyone

if you dont like bfmv then why have you just read an article on them? Personally, i dont mind them, but i dont think theyre great. Why is it such an embarressment for them to play with Metallica? Metallica choose who they want as their supporting acts, so they obviously ARENT the "worst band". And trust me, your the one who needs to fucking grow up.

That's so unforunate really, BFMV are a great band, and the poison is a class album, and with news that that's what they will concentrate on is, a BIG positive for me.

I wasn't going to see Metallica anyways, so don't bother me at all.

Well, if its for the best then we can't complain.

Its a shame they've had to pull the plug on such a big show, especially as they were looking forward to the Metallica show and im sure the fans, like myself, will be as disappointed as they are. But its life at the end of the day and they will get another opportunity to play again.

bfmv are not crap if they were they would never have got on this bill. its unfortunate that this has happened to matt and he needed to have an op to sort out this problem and therefore be able to avoid any cancelled shows in the future. If certain people truly believe they are a crap band i.e. 'hater' then funny how they take such an interest to go out of their way to leave comments and read up about them-hmm funny that! I think the more mature fans will wish matt the best in getting better and support the in the future for the rest of you try and focus ur negative energy on ur own sad little lives!

BFMV

That's a shame about Bullet unable to play Wembley. I might not be one of their biggest fans, but they have worked hard over the years to get to where they are now, and after meeting the lads after their Kerrang! tour date in Glasgow, I found they were pretty sound, maybe a bit quiet, but decent lads. For them not to be able to support their heroes, in a stadium (!!!), must seriously suck. I'm gutted for them

Thats pretty handy seen as I didn't want to see them anyway but my friends did so were going to drag us to the show early enough to see them. I find it amusing that people still feel the need to talk shit about this band. whether you like them or not, they are very successful for the length of time that they have been in the public eye. They wouldn't be on the bill in the first place if they were "shit". I don't like HIM but i don't feel the need to spout shit about the fact they are on it. Ive just looked over the other comments in this list BFMV ARE NOT SHIT!!!!!Ive seen then live twice, once with Guns n roses and once with them headlining THEY WERE AMAZING!!!
The 2nd gig i went to was prosponed coz matt was ill n i was really disappointed...the gig was then gonna be played at a later date. Bullet put on an AMAZING performance n matt kept on apologising for the gig being prosponed...
At the GNR gig Axl rose didn't apologise for being an hour and a half late!

Ah, bollocks, thats the second time they've canceled a gig I was going to. I hope they reschedule the Brigthon concert for later this year, like they promisd, otherwise I just won't bother in the future.

About Wembley, i'm not so bothered. I'm there to see Metallica, as long as they play, I am happy.

Bullet off Metallica Gig

Not my favourite band but most certainly not my most hated band. That's reserved for shit like The Gallows.

Hopefully now Stone Sour will support. 2 weeks ago I would have been up for Machine Head but has i'm going to see The Black Crusade tour i'd rather it be a band I haven't or are going to see.

I think it may be another british artist but who knows.

The op was pre arranged for mid-july which meant they could play the arranged dates. He got checked out by his doc and the prob was worse than thought and had no other choice.

I was converted to BFMV when I saw them suppor GnR last year and I'm gutted too. Let's hope they get a worthy replacement.

Since Heaven and Hell are supporting them 2 days earlier in Vienna, maybe they can get them in and knock HIM down a rung. Machine Head or Megadeth would be wicked too.

There's talk on the forum of Spinal Tap which might be good for comedy value. They're billed together at Live Earth the day before.

My fingers are crossed for H&H though.

Well well well, that sure is a shame - not particularly bothered that BFMV arent gonna play.

But on another note - this is a forum, you can say what the fuck you want even if its to slate Bullet.

what a shame...

i was reali lookin forward to see bfmv support matallica along with HIM and mastodon...
bfmv may not be the best band in the world but matallica must like them for them to be supporting them...

theres nothing about who will be replacing bfmv on metallicas website... just an empty slot...
reali hope these another good band supporting metallica...

I werent going to the gig but thats a blow for those who are, but he has suffered with them before i think and has had to pull out before.

And your tonsils still affect your vocal cords especially if they are swollen as they are at the top of the throat.

a little disappointed they pulled out but wish HIM would follow suit, THEY ARE TERRIBLE......they do not deserve to be on the same stage as the mighty METALIFUKS. cant wait for the gig, wonder who's gonna replace bfmv........

dammit

If you sing/scream like that your vocals are gunna fuck up...They need a proper singer that can actually sing or aleast learn to sing properly. I would listen to them more if they did :)Thats why matt from trivium stopped screaming and took singing lessons and now they sound alot better.
