Bullet For My Valentine secret show

Prior to their support slot with Metallica at Wembley Stadium on July 8, Bullet For My Valentine will play a 'secret' London headline show.

The band, who will appear under their former moniker Jeff Killed John, will headline the Islington Academy on July 3.

Bullet will use the gig to showcase new material from their forthcoming as-yet-untitled second studio album which is due out in October through Sony BMG.

Ahh, but i'm seeing them support the biggest selling and greatest Metal band of all time. I'd prefer that to going to Islington. Nevertheless BFMV... good band.

It is with huge regret that Bullet For My Valentine announce that they will no longer be able to play the following dates:

JUN 29 - SPAIN, Bilbao w/ Metallica
JUN 30 - GERMANY, Freiburg, MTV Campus Invasion
JUL 3 - UK, London Islington Academy, Jeff Killed John
JUL 5 - AUSTRIA, Vienna w/ Metallica
JUL 8 - UK, London Wembley Arena w/ Metallica

Frontman / lead singer Matt Tuck was due to have a tonsillectomy mid July but, due to unforeseen complications, the operation had to be brought forward at the last minute at the advice of Matt's doctor. Matt is recovering well but has been ordered not to sing for a minimum 4 week period, which means that the band have no choice but not to play the shows listed above.

The band are hugely disappointed but will be going back into the studio as soon as Matt's health is back to 100% to put the finishing touches to the highly anticipated follow up album to The Poison, due out late 2007.

Matt Tuck was unable to speak but wrote from his bed:

"If I'd known my tonsils were going to cause me to miss shows like these I'd have fucking ripped them out myself long ago. I am totally gutted at not being able to play these shows and the only consolation the boys and I can take from it is that we are now fully focused on the album and we'll be back in the studio as soon as the doctors say I can sing again. I truly can't wait for you fuckers to hear it!"

i am a huge bullet for my valentine fan but havn't been lucky enuf 2 see em live yet and oh my god you dont realise how much i wana ther fuckin amazin i sadly missed ther last uk tour so a message to bullet for my valentine plz plz do another uk tour for me im a huge fan of yours and i really wana see you guys live so do birmingham or even bette the wolvo civic and il luv u 4eva p.s jay i fink im in love wiv u!! LOL.X
