to be fair the used are by far the better band. they still have a decent percentage (though lack alot of what they had a few year back) of pure roarness especially live, where as mcr are way to polished and well to put it nicely sell outs. the black parade was an awesome album, but just because they produced a good album didnt mean they had to go pure shite live (which they have). i saw them start the month in new jersey expecting to be blown away and they were fuckign shite !!

MCR have a huge meaning to me, I've always been able to relate to their 'message' (which you people really should take into account even if you don't like their music) and I don't think they've sold out half as badly as some other bands out there. But that's just my opinion and I don't care who agrees or doesn't. I'm not scene like so many other people who are now 'diehard fans' seem to be...

And I'm not gonna stop liking the Used just because they're not friends with MCR anymore - they're an awesome band of crazy dudes and make good music. Their new album is more polished than the other two, wonder how many people are going to call them sellouts too - but frankly I could care less. They still rock my brains out.

The Used are fantastic live.The Used are also far more talented than My Chemical Romance by far.

come on...who seriously cares? I'm a fan of both The Used and MCR (though i do actually prefer MCR, if anyone cares)...but people seriously need to stop asking Bert about this. Or he needs to stop answering. Whatever. Both bands have talent, and most fans of the Used are fans of MCR and vice versa.
Posting something like "OmG Mcr sUck BalLs!12111!!!!eleven!!!" or "omGzzz bErt'S sUch aN aSshOle" isn't going to make either band stop making music. Most bands have talent, just because you don't like all of them, doesn't mean they "suck". I haven't seen the Used live yet, so I can't comment on their live show, but I have seen MCR many times and they are incredible.

I do a lot of freelance photography for bands who come play in wales and I heard that Bert likes making friends with people who are as fucked up as he is which kind of makes sense considering how quickly he and Wil Francis became friends. When Gerrard cleaned up from what I was told Bert interperated that as a "fuck you I'm better than you", It was also told to me that the green eye monster was lurking in the shadows because a large number of US taste of chaos fans were leaving before the used came on at some shows. Anyway this was something I was told on a photograhy job it may all be bullshit but who knows, I wouldn't take anything as gospel unless I heard it from one of them

I think it's quite brave to say that "'Pretty Handsome Awkward' isn't about Gerard Way. An admission it was would probably generate more interest in that particular song as people would want to find out what he had to say about it. I also thought it was tackful that he said "he'd rather not talk about it" so hopefully future interviewers will take note and try not to shift the focus onto the past and mindless bitching, instead letting the fans hear about something new for once.

As for saying "mcr are shit" well...everyone's entitled to an opinion even if it is tainted by personal feeling. Mcr say themselves that they polarise opinion and they like it. It's a personal argument between Bert and Gerard. Bert's talking shit because he's angry and wants to avenge himself one way or another for whatever wrong was done to him if any.
