HIM frontman Ville Valo has exclusively revealed his plans for fatherhood. Although not yet ready to bring a child into the world, the Finnish singer is really looking forward to the prospect in the future.
"I love kids," says the vocalist, "a lot of my friends have been having them. I think we've reached that age. If I was a father, I'd like to be able to be around for the kid and that isn't possible in the band at the moment as we're traveling so much."
When asked about his suitability as a parent, Ville says he's certain he'll be an excellent father.
"I'd be a hell of a dad," he reveals. "I've got a good sense of humour, good music taste and I collect toys and cartoons. I have everything a kid needs!"
Despite his rock 'n' roll touring and less than conventional lifestyle, Ville also believes he would be a firm but fair role model.
"You've got to be strict to a certain point," he says. "I think honesty is the most important thing. If you give your kids the benefit of your experience and tell them the dangers, then they can make their own minds up. I'd tell my kids that they're never on their own, that there's always someone there to care for them and that they should respect that."
